「我們也許能更激進地去思考何謂數位。揚棄數位產品、離散的0與1代碼，或是所謂類比的對立面等慣常的數位語境，數位可以形而上地被理解為一分為二，分割並區別的分析與溝通方法。譬如，所有的電算操作都是任一（either/or）的判定問題，或從表徵的例子來說，Instagram限時動態上的濾鏡。就此層面，數位並不是因電腦（畢竟最早的電腦再類比不過）或任何智慧產品而生的操作邏輯，相反地，它是自人類有點、有線、有數字以來最古老的概念之一，是可將世界編碼、模擬的自治場域，是傾向理性、邏輯、分析與結構主義的思考與存在模式，既是當前政經權力的部署也是我們生活習慣的基礎設施。」（文──謝佩君）
